I moved here in 1987 after being assigned to Fort Campbell as a US Army Aviator. I retired from the Army in 2007 and remained here in Clarksville, choosing this as our permanent home. I’m currently an instructor pilot for the military and have been flying for over 42 years, with 37 of those while living here in Clarksville. I’m married to my high school sweetheart (Laura) and reside in Sango.

I have a master’s degree in safety, and I have been in several management positions overseeing the safe operation of over $1.5 Billion equipment and 3500+ personnel while sometimes working within the constraints of very tight budgets.

I often volunteer in several local clean-up activities, from the crippling ice storm of 1994, the devastating tornado of 1999, and the floods of 2010 and numerous more recent calls to action.

I currently serve as the Director of the Montgomery County Sheriffs Reserves and have been a reserve deputy for over 10 years. In this capacity I’ve helped many organizations from warming centers in the winter to organized food drives and much more.

I’m a combat veteran who served with the 101st Screaming Eagles in Desert Storm and the 160TH SOAR in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I also regularly volunteer with the American Mobility Project here locally.
